Dan Lawrence, owner of Manchester Cable Installation, Inc., has announced the hiring of Larry R. Standish as the company’s executive vice president of business development.
In his role with the company, Standish will focus primarily on new business development and expansion of the company’s geographic service area and its service offerings. He will also focus on optimization of workflow, process improvement, product management, and partner optimization.
“We are thrilled to welcome Larry to our team,” said Lawrence. “His body of work is impressive and we are certain he’ll bring great things to our organization.”
Standish has a long history in technology management and support. His background includes 20+ years of progressive leadership experience in a global environment. Before joining Manchester Cable Installation Co., Standish had a long-term career with HSBC Bank, USA. Hired as an IT specialist and team lead, he worked his way up to senior vice president, global head of support and delivery. In this position, he provided strategic direction, service level management and day-to-day leadership for approximately 1,100 employees globally, while managing a $500 million budget. Standish maintained a focus on process improvement, risk reduction, and cost savings. He implemented a global end user computing service solution, renegotiated contracts, reduced headcounts in high-cost locations, and implemented a global management print solution, saving the bank millions.
“I’ve built my career on helping people and organizations solve problems,” said Standish. “I plan to focus on service — it’s really all about the service, and companies like Manchester have a unique ability to be the smart eyes and hands onsite isolating issues port-to-port.”
